CT of the Sinus

Sinusitis or sinus infections affect nearly 38 million Americans, according the Centers for Disease Control. CT scans of the sinuses give the most accurate information of what may be happening deep within the sinus cavities. The following CT scan of a child, shows mucosal thickening, which may explain his symptoms of runny nose and congestion for over one year.
