Basics: What is a CTA of the Head?

To come.

Discussion of images above:

1.) Normal appearing basilar artery. The previous suggestion of basilar artery stenosis on MRA was indeed artifact. Otherwise normal CTA of the head.

2.) Normal CT of the head with contrast. 4 mm venous varix arising from the right internal cerebral vein. This is probably incidental. No aneurysms, stenoses, or vascular malformations.
